The fastest football trip we’ve ever done.

We always dreamed of attending a big football event in South America, and this year’s Copa Libertadores final was the perfect opportunity to watch the most important club tournament of the continent. We knew we had to move fast because we didn’t have too much time for planning. Getting the tickets was by far the biggest obstacle, but with the help of some local friends, we finally got them. The atmosphere was second to none; seeing Nacional fans singing for the entire 90 minutes and the stadium packed with white and green flags was something we’ll never forget. At the end, the best team of the tournament took the title and the fans crowded the streets to celebrate their achievement.

I was lucky enough to witness history in the making as Atlético Nacional was crowned Champion once again! To be honest, I couldn't hold my tears when I saw Alexis, Marlos, Borja, Armani, and the rest of the players lift the cup. That was definitely a moment I will never forget. I have to thank the Backpacking Football team, everything went smoothly. Not many of my friends share this deep passion for live football and thanks to Backpacking Football I was able to fulfill one of my dreams, watch Atletico Nacional conquer the continent.
